Californians in Oregon, Part 1

To paraphrase something a friend recently wrote:

A group of geese is a flock. A group of wolves is a pack. A group of cows is a herd. A group of Californians is a calamity.

  1. Spillmann Says:

While in Oregon a few years ago, I saw a TV commercial for a local bank. It portrayed a couple of arrogant men riding into town on a stage coach (strikingly similar to the logo of a huge bank headquartered in San Francisco). They boasted about how they were going to take over the local town. When asked by the locals if they were bandits, the men replied, “No ma’am. We’re Californians.”

Got a good laugh out of that. A few years later, Wells Fargo came to Texas too.

  2. Steve Says:

Wells Fargo is the kind of company that gives capitalism a bad name, so it couldn’t have happened to a nicer group of folks.
